Many “SPARED” their time Saturday evening September 20, 2008 and joined us for our 3rd Bowling for Scholars at Jupiter Lanes, 500 Maplewood Drive in Jupiter, raising over $400 for the John Yancy Memorial Scholarships. The evening began at 6 PM but gained speed and leverage, so Jupiter Lanes extended our time from 9 to 10 PM. Jupiter Lanes donated $1 for each game played during the four hours. A raffle was held, giving all bowlers a chance to win extraordinary items like Rock Candles by Paul Matthews. JHS student government delivered a strike by sending representatives; Emily Marinam and Erin Bobselm for support of a perfect game! Daniel Lami of the JHS Bowling Team delivered! He showed off his awesome hook-ball, which only the most skillful bowlers are able to command. Our approach to the evening was not only “fun,” raising Dollars for Scholars, but also raising name recognition for the Memorial Scholarships, Inc.
