The $1000 John Yancy Memorial Scholarships Continuing Education Grant was awarded to Amber Maynard. Amber is a 2001 Jupiter High School graduate and received a Bachelor of Heath Science Degree, Cum Laude, from the University of Florida. She will be pursuing her master's degree as a Physician Assistant. Some of the criteria for this award included graduating from Jupite rHigh School, a volunteer log, and a resume. Also, required, a 1000 word essay written to a brother or sister. The thesis of this essay; "negative costs", both present and future, of drug use during college.
