The $3000 John Yancy Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Richard
Healy at the Jupiter High School graduation award ceremony held
at the school on Tuesday, May 16, 2006. John’s sisters, Rhea and
Amie, were there to present the award together with John’s cousin,

Barbeque Memorial
Fred
and I will be sponsoring a Sardinha-Yancy BBQ to raise funds for
the 2007 award. In honor of John’s birthday, it will be held in
November. Right now, Saturday the 25th looks good. We chose this
date so that his friends in college can attend. Time? Well, after
1pm. Bring your Yancy photos, stories, and memories with you. Admission
will be by donation only. Student’s donation cost will be $5 and
adult will be $20. Any donations of food, supplies and entertainment
will be appreciated. I will be asking for Jupiter High School student
volunteers to help with the BBQ.
